Various pix of things I have cooked! I take photos of things I make sometimes, recipes I am trying out - if it goes well then I make some pics to remind myself how I did it!

2e. I finished the Tempeh with a dash of Kikkomans soy sauce... I use that a lot. These tasted great! At this stage you can add to pasta, stir fries, noodles, stews... I just scoffed them in the garden!
2d. With hot oil in a non-stick pan, I added the cubes. Stir to coat them with the oil (or it will soak it up on just one side). Then let them brown before turning.
2c. I just chopped this Viana Tempeh up into cubes, I just wanted a quick fix, so I chose to fry them. You can buy frozen blocks too - defrost them first!
2b. Tempeh is easy to cook. You can cut into cubes and stew or fry... it has a unique flavour - not unpleasant, but it also absorbs flavours well. This one is from Viana.
2a. Tempeh - a lot of people don't know what to do with this stuff... It is made from soya beans with a culture that has grown on them. Its very nutritious!
1f. Add the tofu to noodles, pasta, stir fries... or just eat!
1e. They look just about perfect! The tofu lost water when fried so has reduced in size, but this makes it drink up the soy sauce. Yum!
1d. Add a dash of Kikkomans soy sauce and cook it off... this is the showy part - hissing and steam!
1c. Mmm... going golden and crispy! But I am still being gentle with them...
1b. Even in my non-stick pan this tofu was gripping on... I had to change to another wok.
1a. Some canned tofu I found in Spain. It was a bit soft... you can see it splitting, so I had to fry it very gently for longer than usual to toughen up the outside.
